Ronda is a taste of the real Andalusia. Explore this historic highland gem on a guided tour that takes in wonderful scenery and cultural heritage.
First, we travel by coach and then take a stunning, scenic train journey venturing inland, passing undulating hills, streams and an abundance olive trees. We pass many traditional Andalusian villages and hamlets before arriving at ‘Bobadilla’ a quaint station on the edge of Ronda.
You will see the highlights and most well-known sights of Ronda, including the magnificent Puente Nuevo Bridge that straddles the 120-metre-deep El Tajo canyon that separates the old Moorish town from the new town.
Steeped in history Ronda is one of the oldest towns of Andalucía it was inhabited by the Romans and Arabs. It is renowned for its the romantic town centre, historical churches, mini-palaces and Spain’s oldest bullring.
Follow this with a spot of wine tasting from Ronda’s acclaimed vineyards – Visit the wine cellar and Museum of “La Sangre de Ronda”. It is located in one of the most beautiful houses in Ronda, it was part of the “giant’s house”, and a Royal Palace of the Arab King of Ronda that dates back over 1000 years.
Enjoy the Andalusian tapas of local hams & cheeses and a wine tasting that are all served in a charming covered courtyard.
