A chance to experience another continent in just one day. This trip across the narrow stretch of Mediterranean to North Africa takes you on a guided visit to the intriguing Moroccan city of Tetuan.
Sailing from Algeciras, you’ll arrive at the Spanish enclave of Ceuta. After crossing the border, see beautiful coastal scenery before heading inland to Tetuan, nestled beneath the Rif Mountains.
A guided walking tour takes you through the International Quarter with its Spanish-influenced architecture, passing Mohammed V Square with its impressive Royal Palace.
With your guide explore the Old Town and its walled Medina. Its souk’s winding alleyways are teeming with colourful Berber markets, local bakeries, cubby-hole shops and tailors selling the distinctive local dress known as djellabas. Lunch at a local restaurant, accompanied by live traditional music & a visit to see the handmade traditional Moroccan rugs.
Embark on a unique experience safe in the knowledge that that your experienced local tour guides will take care of the logistics and chaperone you through bustling labyrinth narrow streets where you will be at ease to drink in the myriad of colours, smells, colours, sounds of this enchanting city.
By the end of the visit will totally understand why the locals call Tetuan with its cobbled streets & bleach white walls the ‘White Dove’ or ‘Granada of Morocco’.

Unless you select differently when you book the tour then please note the default ‘Pick Up’ point is the Bus Stop on the main road in front of the garden centre opposite Puerto De La Duquesa (direction Gibraltar).

- Caseras Costa -Bus stop at roundabout (direction Gib)
- Opposite Puerto De la Duquesa – Bus stop in front of garden centre (direction Gib)
Duration; Full Day
- Set Sail from Algeciras approximately 9.30am
- Coastal drive from Cueta to Tetuan crossing the border on the coach accompanied by local guide
- Arrival in Tutuan: approximately midday
- Set sail for the return from Cueta at approximately 5.30pm

This experience requires a minimum number of travellers. If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund
Unfortunately due to the narrow streets in Tetuan this tour is not wheelchair accessible.
This tour/activity will have a maximum of 53 travellers and is operated entirely by Viajes Transandalucia Tours
